I am not someone who takes resolutions during New Year because sooner or later I very well know I’ll stop keeping up with them. Believe me or not, I am suddenly quite determined to take care of my skin. I’ve been following my AM and PM routines religiously now that I’m in my late 20s. I got this product a few months back but for the past couple of weeks or so only I started giving it a fair chance. So without any further ado, let’s find out how TBS Drops Of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel fared out for me! The lock on the dispenser makes it super sturdy and travel friendly. The peel is thick and has a semi transparent gel consistency that is also easy to spread on the skin. It has a super mild fragrance which isn’t bothersome. The liquid peel is light and easy to work with. The TBS Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel doesn’t sting or make skin itchy upon contact with the skin like most liquid peels out there. I have sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin for anyone’s reference. The peel can be used 2-3 times a week to see any visible results. Though the product claimed results from the first use, I did not see any result. The Body Shop website doesn’t provide their ingredients list online which is quite annoying but I was able to pull it up from a different website. Let me give the breakdown in a bit. I take 1-2 pumps of the product and apply it on the cleansed, dry; face and neck. Once I started massaging The Body Shop Drops Of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel, it started balling up which most people thought was the dead skin and dirt but it actually was not. It’s the carbomer cellulose in the product that started balling up which people mistook for dead cells or dirt from the skin. This was not only highly misleading but this also puts a question mark on the efficacy of the product. I’ve used this for about 5-6 times and I’m yet to see any results that this product claims to do. There are also other questionable ingredients like Alcohol Denat and Isopropyl Alcohol which is not ideal for dry and sensitive skin while there are alternative ingredients with anti microbial and astringent properties like Witch Hazel that wouldn’t dry out the skin. PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a notable ingredient in causing fungal acne. There’s also Fragrance which can irritate sensitive skin like mine giving a rash or two. The Glycerin and Propylene Glycol helps with conditioning the skin which I didn’t find effective because my combination skin felt pretty dry and stretchy post application. This product did nothing to smooth the texture of the skin but it helped with dissolving the sebum filaments on my nose in conjunction with a Korean product which I’m testing out at the moment will talk about in a month. So if you’re looking for an effective at home liquid peel then TBS Drops Of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel isn’t something I would necessarily recommend!
